ACADEMIC CATALOG
Foundation, transition, and progression across Grades 7–12.
The following stage structure, courses, codes, credits, and GPA rules are for design and review. They do not establish current offerings or an approved graduation system. The credit and GPA draft applies only to the proposed Grades 9–12 stage.
STAGE STRUCTURE
Two stages, one continuous pathway.
Grades 7–8 build subject foundations, learning systems, and high-school readiness. Grades 9–12 introduce credits, course choice, honors depth, and graduation planning. Formal curricula remain subject to lawful alignment, staffing, and governance approval.
Grades 9–12 · Progression
Subject courses, credit records, choice, and long-term planning form a coherent high-school pathway.
Honors direction
Ready students may pursue greater complexity, independence, and outcome standards in suitable high-school courses.
SUBJECT AREAS
Eight proposed areas of study.
Offerings depend on staffing, enrollment, prerequisites, individual academic plans, and formal approval.
English & Communication
Literature, academic writing, research, rhetoric, discussion, and presentation.
Mathematics
Algebra, geometry, functions, statistics, modeling, and advanced study.
Natural Sciences
Biology, chemistry, physics, experimental design, data, and scientific writing.
Social Studies
World history, social inquiry, civics, economics, and global issues.
World Languages
Language development, authentic texts, cultural comparison, and communication.
Arts & Design
Visual expression, design process, portfolio, critique, and culture.
Digital Literacy
Information literacy, programming, privacy, security, data, and ethics.
Health & Growth
Wellbeing, movement, study systems, personal planning, and capstone work.
HIGH-SCHOOL REVIEW PARAMETERS
Proposed Grades 9–12 credit and GPA rules.
The high-school draft uses 24.0 total credits; a full-year course normally earns 1.0 credit and a semester course 0.5. A/B/C/D/F map to 4/3/2/1/0 quality points, with a proposed 0.5 honors weighting per credit. Adoption requires alignment with lawful curriculum, instructional time, staffing, award authority, and governance approval.
Record integrity
All attempts remain; repeats and transfer credit never silently overwrite history.
Transfer credit
Authenticity, level, time, content, and outcomes are reviewed individually.
Graduation review
The Registrar compiles the record, academics reviews completion, and final authority follows approved policy.
